We were founded in March, 1986 when Bob Howe, Director of Rocky Mountain Conservative Baptist Association and Pastor Ed Niswender were led to start a new church in Fort Collins.  While meeting in a couple temporary locations, the church voted to purchase property at Shields and Horsetooth in October, 1987.  The first service in the new building was held in 1992.  Pastor Ed Niswender resigned to pursue a ministry in Oregon in 2000.  Pastor John Lloyd led the people of Mountain Range Church until 2004, when he felt called to another ministry.  Pastor Dan Iles was called to lead our congregation following Pastor Lloyd until October, 2009.

Our Interim Pastor is Leon Chriestenson.

ELDERS and DEACONS:

Don Moore, Will Van Wyhe, Dick Peterson, David Hoffman

*We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired of God, inerrant in the original writings, and the supreme and final authority in faith, life, practice and in all matters which they affirm.
*We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
*We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God, and was true man.
*We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned, and thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and are sinners in thought, word & deed.
*We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.
*We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, and in His bodily ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate.
*We believe in the "Blessed Hope," the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
*We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
*We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting life together with God in eternity for the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment in hell of the lost, according to the order set forth in the Scriptures.
*We believe the people of God are made up of the whole company of regenerate persons in all times and ages, in heaven and on earth.  We believe the church, which is now the body and shall be the bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born again persons of this age, irrespective of their affiliation with Christian organizations.  It originated at Pentecost and will be taken away at the rapture.  We believe the visible (local) church is that smaller company of regenerate persons, collected for worship, service, instruction and admonition.  Properly constituted, it consists only of regenerated, immersed confessors of Christ, under direction of a pastor-teacher (Shepherd) who serves with other specially appointed officers (elders, deacons and ministry coordinators) to preach the Word, minister benevolence, administer the ordinances, and maintain proper discipline and order.
*We believe the ordinances of the church are two:  Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
